How Do I Choose My Room Divider Colors?

Choosing the right Colors for your room divider can be quite challenging.  You might feel like there are so many Colors choices you are sure to find at least one you like.  Or Perhaps choosing the right Colors is overwhelming so you think that you’ll never find the right one.

Before you make any decisions, it’s a good idea to take a fresh look around you.  You should essentially choose your room divider Colors last. A couple of cool neutral Colors are blue and grey.  These Colors tend to coordinate with most other cool Colors.  If your room contains warm Colors (reds, oranges, yellows and some greens), selecting a warm toned room divider would be best.  Beige or Tan Colors tend to be easy to coordinate with warm neutral Colors.

Opposing Color Schemes

Complementary Colors schemes are Colors that are opposite each other on the Colors wheel. Red and Green, Purple and Yellow, Pink and Green, Blue and Orange are all complementary Colors. If you are looking for a high contrasting look, you might want to try selecting a Colors that is the opposite of the Colors in your room.  Be cautious! Using complementary Colors can be tricky.  These Colors together are vibrant and eye catching, use the complementary Colors scheme only if you want your room divider to stand out.

Analogous Color Schemes

Using these Colors create a sense of comfort and serenity.  Analogous Colors use Colors that are next to each other on the Colors wheel. They are Colors that are often found in nature and are pleasing to the eye.  When using analogous Colors be sure to use only one hue as the main Colors. Some examples of analogous Colors are red and orange, green and yellow-green, blue and purple, purple and magenta.

Your Own Personal Style

Picking a Colors that reflects your personality can be fun.  Color can change your mood. If your style is relaxed and calm you may want to select blue shades.  If you want to create excitement and energy you might want to select shades of red.  Green is the Colors of health and nature.  Green is also  a relaxing Colors and represents a healing nature.
